Update on Ron Lynch

Dear Family,

I will tell Marilyn you are thinking about them and praying for them.  I spoke with her about llam and they were still waiting to transfer him to UT.  The hospital is apparently still full but she thinks they will get him up there today.  His still has a temp over 101 and is feeling lousy.  The vancomycin they had him on kills the bad germs but it also kills the "good" bugs and occasionally patients get into trouble like this.  He is a strong man and I believe (and pray) he will have a full recovery.  

She is holding up ok.  Loves her new job (of course she hasn't been there the last couple of days).   We had our 2nd support group meeting last night and it was great.  People are so glad she has started a support group in our area!

No Cheryl, she did not get her car out of the shop.  She is still driving Ron's car.  Doesn't know when she will get hers back.

Hi all,
I have Ron's laptop at the hospital with us/  They finally transferred him about 1 pm today.  He is finally somewhat comfortable.  His temp got upwards of 102 and his oxygen saturation went down but they got that under control once we got to UT.  I am staying at the hospital with him since I have to work Wed, Thur and Fri 12 hr shifts just a couple of miles away.  That way at least I will get a chance to be with him some of the time.  He is having a colonoscopy tomorrow to assess the damage done to his intestines.  As far as myself, getting in my protein and water is REALLY difficult.  Yesterday at 8 pm when Bleu and Nancy asked me to dinner, I realized I hadn't eaten all day.  I can't eat or drink anything with an odor in Ron's room due to his nausea so it makes it really difficult.  I'll just have to catch up later, I guess! Thanx everyone for the well wishes and the prayers and please keep them coming, right now we really need them!

Thanx for the good thoughts and prayers.  Ron is awake and alert.  The test results weren't good but we are dealing with them.  But, he is MUCH better!  If he continues to improve, hopefully, he can go home on Sunday or Monday.

I am so glad to see you posting and I look forward to the post when you tell us Ron is home and doing great..  until then, I will continue to keep you both in my thoughts and prayers!
